Social Media Takeover

November 12, 2018 – Cheba

For this weeks post, I’ll be discussing my experience with taking over the Twitter account for Oswego’s Health and Technology Class @ozhealthtech. Before this week I’d probably used tweeter consistently for no more than a week about 6-8 years ago, so this was a new learning experience for me. I learned new ways to consistently and effectively maintain your twitter account as well as track and increase the number of views your page and post acquires.

Rockstar Example

For this segments of the project, I took guidance from Dr. Stephen Yang’s twitter in which I incorporated the skill of enticing a greater audience to my post by using a style of multi-imaging when posting. This technique helps allure more viewers because they’re painted a better picture versus not seeing any images for a regular link and caption post. My Flickr here shows a few of those examples.

Twitter Analytics

By using Twitter Analytics you are able to see the progress of the twitter account. You are able to see the statistics of your tweets, tweet impressions, profile visits, mentions, and followers. Check out my Flickr to get a better view of my experiences with Twitter analytics.

Buffer

The Buffer App is a helpful way of being reminded to stay consistent with your social media account and also in managing it.

One of the best features with the buffer app is that you can schedule times when to post assuming you are too busy or might simply forget to post the next day or so.
